Stanford summer research, varsity soccer, and the start of Ubuntu Athletics.
A serious knee injury to someone close to me first made me curious about the body and recovery. I wanted to understand what had happened and what engineering could contribute.
At Mission San Jose, I played four years of varsity soccer, captained the team in my final year, and was named Athlete of the Year. I graduated as valedictorian.
A summer at Stanford’s SIMR program introduced me to research through a microrobotics project. I also founded Ubuntu Athletics, a volunteer nonprofit running youth sports camps to fund educational programs.
