Site data acquisition & QC
Partnered with the technical-solutions team to build acquisition pipelines, QC dashboards, and debugging tools used to onboard clinical sites and triage data-quality issues during live collection.
What
The acquisition side of Alto’s trials: pipelines moving EEG, wearable, and cognitive data off clinical sites, QC dashboards showing whether that data was any good, and debugging tools for onboarding a new site and triaging data-quality problems while collection was still live.
Why it mattered
Trial data quality is decided at the moment of collection — by staff at a psychiatric clinic who are not electrophysiologists, on equipment they did not build, during a patient visit that will not happen twice. Once a session ends, a bad electrode or a mistimed trigger is unrecoverable. Catching it the same day instead of at analysis is the difference between a usable cohort and an expensive one.
My role
Partnered with the technical solutions team to build the acquisition pipelines, the QC dashboards, and the debugging tools, and served as a technical point of contact when a site’s data looked wrong.
Outcome
The tooling was used to onboard clinical sites and to triage data-quality issues during live collection.
